about

Hidden Histories of Dublin is a short form docuseries with stories about the city that not many people would know even if they walked the streets every day. The project takes you through multiple stories around the city that many locals would have learned from word-of-mouth.

In the project we visit the historic Dublin 8 district where we talk about 2 locations known as ‘murdering lane’ and ‘The Tenters’. The next stop then tells the tragic story about ‘Misery Hill’ leading back onto the Northside of the river to the once famous red-light district of Dublin known as ‘The Monto’.

The project is aimed at helping people who have recently moved to Dublin getting indulged in the history of their new home and know the weight of the stories that you walk by every day without knowing.
